Jack McCoy

Jack entered the fire service in 1992 following a 22-year career during which he served in support of both domestic and international security interests. He has lived in Central America, Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Following retirement in 1991, he worked at both Marysville and Allen Township Fire Departments in Union County and joined Washington Township Fire Department in Dublin in 1997 where he served as a firefighter/medic and was promoted to EMS Manager in 2001. Following retirement from the fire service he joined the faculty at Columbus State Community College to serve as the Fire Science coordinator.  He is an Ohio Fire Executive graduate, holds 2 Associate degrees from Columbus State and a BS in Public Safety Administration from Franklin University.

Jamie Miller

Jamie was born and raised in central Ohio.  After high school he joined the Army and served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Jamie had tours of service in both Viet Nam and Korea. Upon completion of his duty, Jamie attended The Ohio State University to become an X-ray Technologist. As well as working in clinical radiology and the commercial healthcare equipment field, he also became a firefighter/EMT in 1991. Jamie worked for both Perry Township Fire and Washington Township Fire Department in Dublin. Newly retired Jamie enjoys teaching vertical rope rescue skills to firefighters and emergency services personal at Columbus State Community College.

Andy Frick

Andy was born in Columbus and has always enjoyed exploring the outdoors. In college he served three years on staff at Camp Akita. Andy graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Botany and was a 3-year captain of the lacrosse team. In 2001, Andy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and has since become a commissioned officer.   After active duty training and deployments Andy remains in the reserves. Andy is also a graduate of the US Park Ranger Academy, is a volunteer naturalist for the Metro Park system and is a certified Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician. Andy has worked at Camp Akita for many years and is now the Camp Akita Program Director.
