Camp Akita for 6^th Graders

5^th & 6^th Grade Camp

This age level is introduced for the first time to the Camp Akita program theme. We will introduce funny characters, skits, a narrative, and games in which the campers will be split into teams. The teams will be the same all week and the campers will compete for points for their teams. We will transition to a more open "free time" in the afternoon and we will have a skit night, a hike to Bald Eagle and Rock Stalls, and the soap slide. These campers will be able to experience our water slides and take out boats in the afternoon.

Campers will have the opportunity to hear a nightly message from one of our staff members. We have scheduled time for cabin discussions and will introduce small group time in the morning. In their small groups, campers will be able to spend time with two staff members and a mix of campers from other cabins. This time is used to build friendships outside of cabin groups and thoughtful hands on activities to help our campers explore their own faith journeys.
