Camp Akita Emergency Line


In the rare event that your family experiences an emergency and you need to get in contact with Camp Akita staff after hours, please call our Emergency Line.

Please ONLY call the Emergency Line if ALL apply:

  • Your camper is currently at Camp Akita. Calls to the Emergency Line must come from parents/guardians of campers who are currently in session at Camp Akita. The emergency line is NOT for questions regarding an upcoming or past session.
  • You are calling outside of business hours. If your issue arises during business hours (M-F, 9 am – 5 pm), please call our Columbus Office at (614) 488-0681. Our Columbus Office is aware of our camp schedule and can get in touch with the correct camp staff member quickly and directly. The emergency line is ONLY for calls outside of business hours.
  • Your call requires immediate attention. The emergency line is for time-sensitive issues, NOT for questions regarding registration, payment, or nonurgent questions. Your call will likely alter the camp experience for your camper (such as a family emergency that requires your camper to return home immediately).
When you call…
  • If no one answers, leave a voicemail AND send a text. Cell service can be spotty at Camp Akita and sometimes text messages come through first.

  • We may call you back from a landline. After calling the Emergency Line, please pick up calls from the 740 area code.
