* Member means the camper, parent/guardian, or a grandparent is an active member of First Community Church in Columbus, OH. For additional information, please refer to the First Community Membership webpage. Campers may be a Member if they have completed the Block of Wood program through First Community (grade 9 or older) and meet all other qualifications as an "active" member.

10:30 amGrades 7 - '26 Grads begin registration 
Grades 1 - 6 & Family Camp continue registration
* All grade level programs will be open at 10:30 am.

Non-Members (of First Community) who enroll prior to January 24 will have enrollments removed and payments refunded.

What you need to know before you register

  • Camp Akita is owned and operated by First Community Church. We believe all people are included in God's unconditional love and grace and welcome campers and staff from all backgrounds openly and without hesitation. Want to learn more about Camp Akita's beliefs? Learn more... 
  • We believe in creating a safe place at Camp Akita for our children and staff. Campers will be sent home immediately and without a refund if they are found in possession of weapons, drugs, alcohol, and tobacco or nicotine products. This includes paraphernalia like a JUUL. Campers will also be sent home for the use or threat of violence against another camper or staff member.
  • A minimum $75 non-refundable deposit per session is required to register. Payment plans are available (both monthly and full balance due May 22).  If you would like to view our cancellation policy, please click HERE.
  • We do not want cost to be a barrier for your child to attend Camp Akita. To apply for a financial assistance, please click HERE for more information.
  • All campers must have current immunizations in accordance with state law. Non-immunized campers must fill out an immunization waiver form to attend Camp Akita. To view the form, please click HERE.
  • If you register someone else's child under your own account, you will be financially responsible for that camper. We cannot transfer a camper to a different account once a deposit is paid.
  • First Community members may not register non-members under their accounts in the Member-only priority period. Non-members may register beginning at 9 am on January 24 in their own account.
