Our most popular tradition: cover yourself in mud, test your limits at the Adventure Complex, reflect at Vesper Hill, enjoy s’mores by the campfire, and discover your place in a community of unconditional love.(Includes links to Family Camp and 1, 2, 3...Akita!)
This service leadership program allows campers to give back to Akita by serving meals, cleaning camp, setting up activities, and doing work projects, all while living in a family-style community behind the scenes. (Available for grades 10–12 & grads.)
Family Camp is the ultimate opportunity to experience the magic of Camp Akita as a family! Staff will lead families through a weekend that includes a balance between family time, off-the-wall fun, and the stillness of a spiritual retreat. (Available for ALL ages!)

You are invited to a family day open house at Akita on Sunday, May 31, from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Meet the 2015 summer staff and tour the cabins, dining hall, and lodge. You'll also be able to swim in the lake, go on a nature hike, and get a milkshake. This will be an excellent opportunity for first-time campers to become comfortable with our facilities and staff. We are also excited to meet the parents of our campers who have been enjoying Akita for years. Don't miss out on this unique chance to experience Camp Akita before the summer begins!
