What are the costs and payment methods?

That depends on many variables. Cabins have set rates for members and non-members, weekends and weekdays. Click HERE for information on cabin rates. The Lodge and Dining Hall are priced based on the type of group, time of week, size of group, # of meals, special needs, etc. All specific cost questions should be directed to Danita at Akita.

We accept cash, check, Mastercard or Visa. A nonrefundable deposit on cabin rental is required to guarantee your reservation and is due within thirty (30) days of your reservation. If your reservation date does not allow for the thirty (30) days, this deposit is due at the time of making your reservation.

Where do I check in? When can I arrive/depart?

Our check-in policy will be explained to you upon confirmation of your reservation. Check-in time is 6:00 p.m. Check-out time is 2:00 p.m.

What should I bring? Are linens offered at Akita?

Bed Linens, Towels, Food, Clothing and Personal Items. All of our winterized cabins have been stocked with pots, pans, glasses, dishes and flatware for your convenience. *Please refer to each cabin for bed sizes.

Linens are not offered, yet. However, we are looking into that. We have a group requesting that service and that may get us started in offering that service.

What is the smoking policy at Akita?

Akita is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted in or near any of the buildings.
