of First Community Church in Columbus, Ohio.  For additional information, please refer to

the Block of Wood program through First Community (
grade 9 or older).

    • If this is your first time attending Camp Akita, you may set-up a new account prior to actually registering by clicking on New Camper Account (General Camp Registration) or New Family Account (Family Camp).

What you need to know before you register

  • Camp Akita is owned and operated by First Community Church. We believe all people are included in God's unconditional love and grace and welcome campers and staff from all backgrounds openly and without hesitation. Want to learn more about Camp Akita's beliefs? Learn more... 
  • We believe in creating a safe place at Camp Akita for our children and staff. Campers will be sent home immediately and without a refund if they are found in possession of weapons, drugs, alcohol, and tobacco or nicotine products. This includes paraphernalia like a JUUL. Campers will also be sent home for the use or threat of violence against another camper or staff member.
  • A minimum $75 non-refundable deposit per session is required to register. Payment plans are available (both monthly and full balance due May 28).  If you would like to view our cancelation policy, please click HERE.
  • All campers must have current immunizations in accordance with state law. Non-immunized campers must fill out an immunization waiver form to attend Camp Akita. To view the form, please click HERE.
  • If you register someone else's child under your own account, you will be financially responsible for that camper. We cannot transfer a camper to a different account once a deposit is paid.  Church members may not register children of non-members during the priority registration period, unless they are the child's parent, guardian or grandparent.
