Camp Akita, a ministry of First Community, is a summer camp, group activity center, and cabin rental facility located 45 miles southeast of Columbus in the rolling hills of Hocking County, Ohio. The facility includes over 1,200 acres of land, 15 miles of marked hiking trails, a nature sanctuary, a basketball court, a ropes challenge course, and a 7-acre lake for fishing, swimming, and canoeing.

Rent one of our cabins in the woods and bring your family for a relaxing weekend getaway in a beautiful setting. Larger groups can reserve side-by-side cabins together or stay in our main Lodge. Founded in 1949 by Dr. Roy Burkhart on land donated by the Galbreath family, Camp Akita is accredited by the American Camp Association and is a ministry of First Community in Columbus, Ohio.
