I started attending Camp Akita when I was very young. As a kid I was attracted to its natural beauty and wonder. Akita played a big role in inspiring me to pursue a degree in biology from the University of Tennessee and a postgraduate certification from the National Park Ranger Training Institute. My love of the outdoors and adventure has led me to my roles at camp. I am the Middle School Program Coordinator, lead Akita Backcountry and run the outdoor education program through the Akita Nature Center.
