As the Executive Director of Camp Akita, Scot Nicoll provides consistent leadership
and vision to all programming and facility needs at Camp Akita. Scot started as a first
year counselor during his college years at Willamette University and most recently
spent 5 years as the Program Director.
Scot holds a masters degree in Economics from the University of Oregon and is a
lifelong outdoor enthusiast. He brings a wealth of experience in outdoor programming
for young people, and this experience guides his oversight for all of the camping
opportunities at Akita.

Andy manages the program delivery of Akita and helps facilitate education-focused
rental groups. He also oversees the development, marketing, and delivery of outdoor
programs to all other rental groups. Andy previously served as the Middle School
Program Coordinator for First Community Church.
A trained and experienced field botanist, Andy brings a passion for the outdoors to
his new role. He has completed the National Park Ranger Institute, and his job combines
his deep knowledge of outdoor education with his many years as a leader at Camp
