Camp Registration

What is summer camp?

The traditional Summer Camp program at Akita is our most popular program. We invite you to cover yourself in mud, challenge yourself at the Adventure Complex, get to know yourself in moments of reflection at Vesper Hill, share s'mores around the campfire, and find yourself as a valued member of an unconditionally loving community.

Staff Training

Every summer Camp Akita staff members complete a comprehensive training program before we serve our campers. This year our staff training runs from May 30th to June 5th. During this time we cover a variety of topics including: mission and vision, message and theology, organizational and employment specifics, working with campers, site and security policies, and daily procedures.

Curious about what we are teaching our staff? If you would like to see the staff handbook section on working with campers, you can download it here.
