I spent my first summer as a counselor at Camp Akita in 2000. I am now the Director of Youth Ministry Programming for First Community Church and looking forward to my 11th summer at Akita. My job is to design and implement a camp schedule that is fun, safe, affirming of all campers, fosters community, and is focused on our message. I love this job because it gives me the chance to meet over one thousand great young people every year, who continually surprise me with their sense of humor and insights into faith. Camp Akita is the greatest place on earth, I am so blessed to be able to give back to a place that has given so much to me.
