The 4th annual Akita 5K Race and Family Fun Run is a fun and active social event and a great opportunity to raise money! The money raised at the event goes to the Friends of Akita Fund, which funds scholarships for campers who need help paying for summer camp.
You can run or walk the whole course yourself, or you can team up with 2 additional family members or friends and complete the course as a relay team! Each team member completes one lap around the park, handing off a relay baton to the next runner/walker. Kids can also run or walk their very own 1-mile fun run!

Refreshments and award presentations immediately following.
$30 for 5K run or walk $50 for 3-person relay team $15 for kids' 1-mile fun run
All racers receive a Dri-Fit technical shirt. Parking is free for the first 50 vehicles, and available thereafter for a small fee.
To register as a runner or walker, click on the link to the right. Please note! Pre-race registration closes on Friday, April 26 at 1:00 pm. After that time, you may register in person on race day, beginning at 8:30 am.

We welcome anyone (high school age or older) who would like to volunteer to help on race day! We need help with race-day registration and post-race activities. Please click on the link to the right to register as a volunteer.
