The grade your child will enter in the Fall of 2010.
Church Member
- Any child whose parents or grandparents are active members of the church
- Any youth who joined the church as part of the Block of Wood program
Cabin Mate Requests
Safety is our first goal at Akita. That includes the physical, spiritual and emotional safety. We recognize that a sense of safety begins at the time of registration when kids request other kids to be their cabin mates. Unlike many camps, we offer the chance for kids to request their cabin mates, and we go to great efforts to accommodate those requests, as best we are able.
However, circumstances do arrise that make it impossible to grant every request. To help us, we ask that you use the following guidelines when making cabin mate requests.
- Talk with your child about his/her requests - Request NO MORE than five names - List specific names of requested camper (DO NOT list school or grade preferences.) - Always list "full" names -- first and last, not nicknames
NOTE: Cabin assignments are formed by on-side camp staff a few days before the start of each camp. Campers will learn of their cabin assignment and cabin mates at check-in, not before. [Return to top of page]
Scholarships
We do not want financial limitations to keep a child from attending Camp Akita. Each year we grant camp scholarships to both church members and non-members alike. Scholarship forms are available by emailing Camp Akita Registration or calling 614 488-0681, ext. 101. [Return to top of page]
Online Registration
- Register at www.CampAkita.org. You may pay by credit card or E-Check.
- Complete one registration per camper, along with a minimum $75 non-refundable deposit per camper
- You will receive a confirmation email after completing the payment. Additional information will be emailed to you approximately one month after registering.
- You may access your family's account information online by clicking HERE. You are able to update any registration information (for example: t-shirt size; contact information; cabin mate requests; medical or insurance information; etc.) or make additional payments. [Return to top of page]
- Complete one registration form per camper and return with a minimum $75 non-refundable deposit, per camper.
- Make checks payble to First Community Church, and include your camper name(s) in the Memo line of the check.

Make Additional Payments
Full payment is expected in full one month prior to the start of the camp session.

Cancellation Policy
The $75 deposit paid at the time of registration is non-refundable. Other refunds are issued as listed below, based on the number of days the cancellation request is received prior to the start of the camp session.
For a camp without a "waitlist": 45 days or more = 100% fee minus the deposit 30-45 days = 75% fee minus the deposit 15-30 days = 50% fee minus the deposit Less than 15 days, 25% fee minus the deposit
